Diaphragms:
Achieve a reliable seal with flexible response
Diaphragms consists of elastomeric materials and are used for separating two component spaces with a tight yet flexible partition while allowing changes in volume between the two separated spaces.
Diaphragms fulfill three primary tasks:
- A regulating and switching function
The pressure applied to the diaphragm is converted into a rod force which actuates a switching, regulating or display device. - A pumping function
In this case, diaphragms have the opposite function and convert rod force into feed/discharge pressure. - A separating function
Spaces having nearly the same level of pressure are separated by a flexible partition diaphragm. This type of separating diaphragm allows changes in volume to take place.
The plus for you: Simrit has just the right diaphragm for any of these functions.
